I'm a wife, mother of two boys, and a lifelong Huron County resident who believes that local government should work for the people—not the other way around. Before entering public service, I spent over a decade in banking, lending, and business management, learning how to balance budgets, serve customers, and get results.
When I ran for Mayor of Plymouth in 2019, I promised to focus on what matters: fixing our infrastructure, managing our finances responsibly, and listening to residents. Since then, I've delivered on that promise—securing $4.8 million in grant funding including $3.2 million for our long-delayed bridge replacement, completing street repairs, removing lead water lines, and keeping our village budget in the green.
I was raised right here in Huron County, and this is where my husband Carl and I are raising our two sons. We love this community—the farmer's markets, community festivals, the county fair, the neighbors who look out for each other.
That's why I got into public service. I want to make sure Huron County remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family for generations to come. When I'm not at Village Hall, you'll find me at my boys' school events, shopping at a local business, or enjoying time outdoors with my family.
This isn't just a campaign to me—it's personal. The decisions made by County Commissioners affect the roads my family drives on, the services we rely on, and the future my sons will inherit. I'm running because I care about getting it right.
Practical solutions focused on what County Commissioners actually control—core services residents expect: public safety, roads, public health, and infrastructure.
With 226 miles of county roads and 406 bridges to maintain, infrastructure is my top priority. I'll work to maximize every dollar, pursue state and federal grants, and prioritize repairs that matter most to residents and businesses.
Your tax dollars deserve careful stewardship. I'll bring the same budget discipline that kept Plymouth "in the green" to county government—no wasteful spending, transparent accounting, and long-term financial planning.
With over 670 farms and 220,000 acres of farmland, agriculture is our economic backbone. I'll advocate for policies that support our farmers and rural communities, not burden them with unnecessary regulations.
Good jobs keep families here. I'll work to reduce barriers for small businesses, support our manufacturing sector, and make Huron County an attractive place to invest and grow—while respecting our rural character.
Our 19 townships, 7 villages, and 3 cities deserve a county government that listens and partners. I'll be accessible to local officials and work together on shared challenges—just as I've done working across Richland and Huron counties as Mayor.
You have a right to know how your government operates. I'll push for accessible meeting schedules, clear budget information, and open communication about county decisions. Accountability builds trust.
As Mayor, I have secured $4.8 million in grant funding to modernize Plymouth's infrastructure and deliver real results for our residents.
Coordinated with ODOT and multiple county commissioners to secure major grant funding for the West Broadway Street bridge replacement—ending years of delays and benefiting 350-400 households.
Successfully secured critical funding to build a modern fire station, ensuring our first responders have the facilities they need to effectively serve and protect the Plymouth community.
Obtained dedicated funding for the Broad Street paving project and essential storm drain upgrades to improve road safety, drainage efficiency, and infrastructure longevity.
Secured significant grant money specifically for the Plymouth East paving project, continuing our commitment to revitalizing local roads and improving neighborhood accessibility.
"Cassaundra Fryman has done a fantastic job for Plymouth as Mayor - She has built relationships with state and county officials and with public and private agencies that have resulted in funding some major projects including the replacement of the West Broadway Bridge. Her skill and polish in political circles will benefit us further if she is elected Huron County Commissioner."
— Plymouth Councilwoman Susan MooreThis is a community-driven effort powered by neighbors—focused on advocating for the people of Huron County. Your contribution, no matter the size, helps us reach more residents and support our shared priorities.
Huron County deserves a commissioner who puts residents first—someone who's proven they can work across party lines, balance budgets, and deliver real infrastructure improvements. I'm asking for your vote to bring that same practical leadership to county government.
